5 WAYS TO TAKE YOUR LOOK FROM DAY TO NIGHT

Go from the office to out on the town in 15 minutes flat...

In today’s hurried pace of modern life, sometimes even something as fun as after work plans can cause stress. How can you juggle work demands and a social life if you don’t even have time to change after work? Fortunately, with a little planning ahead, and a few well-packed supplies, any working gal go from the office to out on the town in 15 minutes flat.
1. Freshen the Face
The best way to go day to night is take your makeup up a notch. Always have a mini makeup bag handy with the necessary essentials. A spritz of perfume, a fresh application of mascara, and a swipe of lip gloss can instantly revive your face. Add a few touches of nighttime glamour with a highlighting or shimmer powder, and of course, some eyeliner.
2. Accessorize instantly
When you don’t have time to comb through your jewelry box looking for the perfect touch to add an outfit you’ll need to plan ahead. Your best bet is to carry one statement piece with you so that with one touch you’ll instantly be accessorized. Long beaded necklaces, cocktail rings, and even a simple pair of hoops can bling up a boring work outfit.
3. It’s all in the shoe
Don’t underestimate the power of transforming an outfit with a shoe change. Day is all about comfort – whether that is your favorite flats or low-heeled sling backs. Nighttime is all about breaking out the heels. And if you can’t stand heels, then change into a fun pair of metallic or animal prints flats that’ll add a little style to your step.
4. Cover up your layers
Maybe that slinky sleeveless number isn’t appropriate for your morning meeting, but covered by a cardigan it’ll be safe for work. What to wear your little black dress out? Throw on a blazer and it’ll take you through a day in the office to a cocktail party.
5. Change to a clutch
A big overstuffed handbag is fine to tote to work and on errands, but who wants to be to carry all that weight on the dance floor or have to rummage through an over packed purse at the bar? Invest in a “going out” clutch like a metallic that w will match most outfits. All you need room for is your ID, credit card, cash, cell phone, compact, and lipstick. The rest you can leave at work!
