- Dab some foundation stick to cover redness, dark eye circle or pimples instead of applying in all over your face. Choose a matching color to your skin tone so its easier to apply
- Since you wont have time to put on liner or eyeshadows, the next step is to coat your lashes twice with mascara. Use a big wand mascara to give your lashes volume and length. Remember to curl your lashes first coz it'll help your eyes to look bigger
- Use product to dab to cheek, lips and eyes with your finger like NARS multiple or MAC cream color base , etc (you get the idea) . Rose, peach and bronze shade look best
- Since your look is very neutral, you can use some colors on your lips to make it looks like you're actually wearing makeup. Choose red, fuchsia or pink lipstick to finish your look

Smudging eyeliner ...how to fix it ?
Lets follow these 2 steps , hopefully it can help you to achieve a better long lasting look :
Step 1 : Before applying eyeliner, its better to use an eye primer like cream concealer or cream eyeshadow
- Using cream concealer : Apply all over your lids with a matching skin-tone color. Blend well & set it with loose powder for longer lasting
- Using cream eyeshadow : The best I've tried so far is MAC paints or paint pots . Apply a neutral color ( e.g.: Bare canvas paint or Bare study paint pot ) with the same manner. Blend well.
For us, pencil liner isnt an ideal solution. Its only great when you actually want to smudge it with eyeshadow to create smokey eyed look. But if you cant use liquid liner or you think its too harsh-looking for you, you can try waterproof pencil liner . Then use an angle brush (i.e.: MAC 263 or 266) dipped in black eyeshadow to set the line. It'll last longer than usual.

You can also try cake liner or gel eyeliner (e.g.: Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner ). Using a pointy eyeliner brush or an angle brush to dip into the gel liner ( coat both sides of the brushes ). Wipe off the excess on tissue before applying to eyes.
For me, I prefer to use liquid liner, especially MAC liquidlast . I can wear it all day long and not even worried for a second that it will smear or disappear. If you're scared to look too harsh, just line it closely to your lashline and keep it thin.
Small tip : To remove this, you really have to use Waterproof eyemakeup remover ( the one with oil and water mixed)

A few tips / tricks
- To keep your lashes curly all day, heat the eyelash curler first then curl your lashes as usual, it will help keeping ur lashes curly all day
- Dip your eyeliner brush in Visine when u use powder as liner. It'll dry faster and last longer than regular water
- Using the old mascara wands to shape your brow with a lil bit of moisturizer. Cheaper than an eyebrow mascara but just as effective.
- If you have removed one to many eyebrow hairs, apply vaseline on your eyebrows when you sleep - it makes them grow faster.
- Use matte powder eyeshadows to fill in the brows since there are a big range of colors for you to choose from
- Apply blusher before foundation for a more natural look. Also, applying powder blusher with a sponge gives a nice gentler effect than with a brush.
- To make your lipstick last longer, blot it after applying lipstick. Put a bit of powder to set, then reapply lipstick again
- Crush an asprin and mix it with a teaspoon of baking soda and enough toner/witch hazel/tea tree oil to make it into a paste, then cake that on over the pimples and sleep with it on. It helps to remove the pimples or at least reduce the redness or inflammation

EASIEST MAKEUP TRICKS EVER
Lip Service
1. Pick the right shade.
What most of us do: Swipe a possible new color on the back of the hand to see if it flatters.
A better idea, says San Antonio-based celeb makeup artist Starley Murray, is to test the lipstick on your fingertip. That way, you can hold the color next to your face to see how it looks. (No mirror? Your finger is still a better gauge, since it's similar in color and texture to your lips.)

2. Get buff.
For the prettiest finish, run your toothbrush over your lips to exfoliate any dry skin (a damp paper towel also can do the job). Post-scrub, lipstick will glide on without caking.
3. Fill in fine lines.
Here's a way to keep lipstick from feathering (a great trick if you have tiny wrinkles above your upper lip): coat your mouth and go slightly outside your lip line with a clear balm - like plain ChapStick - before applying color. "Like invisible spackle," says celebrity makeup artist Shalini Vadhera, "it keeps your lipstick from traveling."
4. Extend the life of your lipstick.
So you'd like your color to last through lunch, but you don't like the feel of long-wearing formulas? Here's a tip from makeup guru Laura Mercier - apply a coat of regular lipstick, then press it with a single-ply tissue and powder lightly (over the tissue) with a puff or brush. This sets the color and prevents running and feathering.
5. Plump up.
For a finishing touch, dab the middle of your lower lip with a bit of silver or gold lip gloss. Any makeup artist worth his shimmer powder will tell you this is the fastest route to creating the illusion of fullness. But remember, if you blot or purse your lips, you'll blur the Jolie effect.
Fresh Eye-Deas
1. Fight droop.
Lightly shade the area just above the arch of your brow with a nude or white liner and blend, advises Jo Davis, artistic director for Trucco Cosmetics. "This subtly lights up your face and creates the illusion of higher brows and lids, which is great for droopy or tired eyes," she says.
2. Smudge-proof your liner.
Apply it with a pencil or a tiny brush, then trace over the line with a matching powder shadow. To make it last even longer, wet your shadow brush with Visine first.
3. Make your eyes look larger.
Place a lash curler at the roots of your lashes, then slowly "walk" it out to the tips, pressing as you go, says Sydney, Australia, makeup expert Napoleon Perdis.
4. Outsmart your mascara.
Love the waterproof kind but hate wrestling to remove it? Celebrity makeup artist Nick Barose applies a coat of regular mascara first, then tops it with waterproof. "This way, the waterproof formula locks onto the other mascara instead of your lashes, so it comes off more easily when you want it to," he says.

5. Widen your eyes.
To look more refreshed, use white or nude eyeliner below your eyes, not above. Pull down gently on your undereye and trace the line between the lower lashes and the inside rim. Stop before you reach your tear ducts.
Complexion Perfecters
1. Conceal flaws... strategically.
A face full of foundation - or too much concealer - can look and feel unnatural, says Mercier. She advises using cover-up only where you need it, letting your own skin shine through where you don't. Blend.
2. Try a soft touch.
Your ring finger is the perfect tool for applying makeup, says Davis, because it's the weakest digit. The more powerful index finger may apply color too boldly or tug too much (hello, wrinkles) on your delicate skin.

3. Look luminous.
Every face has natural shadows, and you'll look better if you brighten them, says Craig Jessup, makeup artist for Kevyn Aucoin Beauty. To find the shady spots, he says, just smile at yourself in the mirror. "You'll see darker areas - like your Cupid's bow, under your bottom lip and at the inner corners of your eyes." To lighten those areas, dab on shimmery white eye shadow. Blend if necessary.
4. Give yourself a mini face-lift.
Apply blush starting at your upper cheekbone (at the hairline near your ear), then brush across your cheek horizontally, not diagonally or downward, until you get to the center of your face. "You'll be thrilled to see the difference when your blush is darkest at the hairline and faded at the apples, instead of vice versa," says Murray, "because it's more youthful."

How to clean makeup brushes
- Brush Cleanser . You can either get it at MAC store or Sephora.com . Or for cheaper version, you can get it either at Wal-mart or Sally. The good thing about this is that its easy & fast to clean your brushes. The bad thing is that sometimes you cant get rid of all the glitters or little powder which still stuck to the inside of the brushes. But its good for using everyday
- 91% alcohol. This can be used when you dont have much time to clean your brush or you want them to dry quickly so you can reuse right after. Spray your brushes and use a paper towel , move your brush back and forward. It'll get all the surface dirt off so your brush can be cleaner after every use. This method you can also use everyday or everytime you want to reuse the same brushes.
- Mild soap or Shampoo. Mixed it with warm water in a bowl . Dip the brushes in gently and squeeze them out, up and down. Rinse them in cold water like washing your hair. Then place the brushes on a dry towel and squeeze out the excess water. Lay them flat to dry over night . Dont ever leave them stand up coz the water can get into the brush handles, ruin the glue inside & the brush hair will fall off easily . You should do this once a week or whenever you have time since it takes time to dry your brushes.

Smokey Eyes
Intense , versatile and low-maintenance - this classic look never gets old. Follow these simple steps to ensure your shadow looks soft and sooty but never slept in.
HOW TO DO IT
- Trace the upper lid with a soft black pencil to define the shape and add intensity to the lash line. Then gently smudge it with your fingertip to diffuse the line
- Using a medium-size domed brush, apply inky powder to the crease of the eye. Then blend it downward for a wash of color over the entire lid
- With a smaller brush that has firm bristles , press a gunmetal shade into the lower lash line. Apply a silver powder to the inner corners to lighten the overall effect
- Piles on the mascara. Stiles (MUA) prefers a small , easy-to-maneuver wand. Instead of heavy lip color, choose a glossy or balm-like neutral for a "slightly less finished mouth"

Eyeshadow TRICKS

(Some tips from an expert)
MASTERING EYESHADOW CAN BE TRICKY BUSINESS... If it’s not applied, and blended correctly you could end up looking like a kickback from the days of disco. Here’s the inside info on getting it right...
1. FIRST PRIME YOUR LIDS with a translucent powder to help control oiliness and set the colour. Despite what you may have heard before, never use concealer on your eyelids - it gunks up your eyeshadow.
2. CHOOSE THREE SHADES OF EYESHADOW – a light, dark and medium shade. It’s best if they’re in the same colour family – like nude, taupe and dark brown as you’re going to be layering them. Powdered eyeshadow is the easiest to apply and blends the best!
3. DUST THE LIGHTEST SHADE on the entire lid from the brow to the lash line. This is the shade which will open up the entire eye area.
4. APPLY YOUR MEDIUM SHADE from the lashes to a point just past the crease – this helps avoid that wrinkly, creasey eyeshadow look – then blend lightly. This colour is going to bring out the colour of your eye, so look for shades that are subtly contrasting. Purples are great for blue eyes and mochas great for green – otherwise go for an all round flattering shade like white, gray or brown. The shade itself should be darker or paler than the eye to get the maximum impact.
5. USE A HIGHLIGHTER on any part of your eye area you want to bring out. Try putting a dot on the inner corner of your eye to make your eyes look big and awake, or dab a little under the arch of the brow to define and emphasise the brows. Just remember not to go overboard, the idea is to highlight your good features not the entire eye, bad features and all!
6. LINE YOUR LASHES using the darkest colour and a small brush. Dampen the brush and put it into a little of the powder. Next make a smudgy line around the lashes; it’s important to get as close to the lash line as you can. You can line the top and bottom lash line or just the top only – if you apply to the bottom only it’s going to draw attention to any bags and make you look tired.
7. SWEEP AWAY ANY STRAY POWDER that has fallen onto your cheeks by using a large, fluffy brush.
8. APPLY MASCARA by first wiping off any excess mascara from the wand, then sweeping the brush through the lashes to the eyes outer corner. Next, while holding the wand horizontally, brush the lashes from the roots to the tips. If you want extra definition, apply a second coat while the lashes are still wet – otherwise they’ll end up crusty.
9. IF YOU’RE IN A HURRY you can opt for just a single colour – just make sure it’s not a dark shade. Spread it over the entire eye from lash line to the brow. You can even use your fingers. Then apply your mascara.
10. ALWAYS CARRY A COTTON BUD in your make-up bag to re-blend shadow or fix any globs, which can occur due to your eye producing natural oils.
