Smudging eyeliner ...how to fix it ?

Being Asian, a lot of us have trouble with liner smudged or disappeared after having it on for a few hours.
So what should we do to avoid that ?

Lets follow these 2 steps , hopefully it can help you to achieve a better long lasting look :

Step 1 :  Before applying eyeliner, its better to use an eye primer like cream concealer or cream eyeshadow
  • Using cream concealer : Apply all over your lids with a matching skin-tone color. Blend well & set it with loose powder for longer lasting
  • Using cream eyeshadow : The best I've tried so far is MAC paints or paint pots . Apply a neutral color ( e.g.: Bare canvas paint or Bare study paint pot ) with the same manner. Blend well.
Step 2 :  Use a waterproof pencil liner, gel eyeliner or liquid liner .

For us, pencil liner isnt an ideal solution. Its only great when you actually want to smudge it with eyeshadow to create smokey eyed look. But if you cant use liquid liner or you think its too harsh-looking for you, you can try waterproof pencil liner . Then use an angle brush (i.e.: MAC 263 or 266) dipped in black eyeshadow to set the line. It'll last longer than usual.

You can also try cake liner or gel eyeliner (e.g.: Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner ). Using a pointy eyeliner brush or an angle brush to dip into the gel liner ( coat both sides of the brushes ). Wipe off the excess on tissue before applying to eyes.

For me, I prefer to use liquid liner, especially MAC liquidlast . I can wear it all day long and  not even worried for a second that it will smear or disappear. If you're scared to look too harsh, just line it closely to your lashline and keep it thin.

Small tip : To remove this, you really have to use Waterproof eyemakeup remover ( the one with oil and water mixed)
