The British brand is launching a cosmetic line this July. This is the brand's first foray into cosmetic beside the fragrances they've been doing. Christopher Bailey , Burberry's chief creative director, told WWD :
"It started because I felt that, at shows and the shoots, the whole [Burberry] attitude is epitomized through the shoes, the bags, the clothes, the accessories, but then the face was the one thing I really struggled with. When we were doing makeup, I felt like we weren't able to get the right attitude. It was either caked-on makeup or then just the wrong colors, the wrong tones, the wrong spirit for makeup. I wanted it to be this kind of effortless elegance."
The makeup line continues the signature trench - khaki plaid pattern into the packaging. It'll be different from any other cosmetic brands which scream glamour or in style. Bailey wants to make women feel effortlessly beautiful . That's why he created this line to fit their everyday use. The line will include everything from foundation to lip definer to makeup brushes. Cant wait to see the real products coming out in stores.
