FOTD

To achieve this look, just follow these steps:
  • Moisturize your face as usual
  • I use RCMP cream foundation & MAC studio finish concealer under my eyes
  • Use MAC loose powder in Medium to set the foundation
  • For my eyes : I use MAC paint pot Bare study to prime them before putting on eyeshadow
  • Then put MAC eyeshadow Beautiful Iris all over my lid
  • Contour my eyes with MAC e.s. Leisure time (limited edition ) or u can substitute it with MAC e.s. Star Violet ( very similar color ). Also dab it on the bottom lash line
  • Put MAC e.s. Beauty Marked on the outer part of the eyes and feather it in. Blend well & blend it on the bottom lash line
  • Highlight the inner corner of your eyes with MAC e.s. Naked lunch
  • Use MAC e.s. Nylon to highlight brow bone
  • For Eyeliner : I use MAC fluidline in Black track with a small tipped brush
  • I line my bottom water lash line with MAC eye kohl Fascinating and extend it out to seperate the bottom and the top liner. Dab some MAC e.s Crystal Avalanche on top to make it popped
  • Curl my lashes with Shu uemura eyelash curler
  • I use my all time favourite mascara Benefit Bad Gal to coat the top & bottom lashes
  • Fill in my eyebrow with MAC e.s. carbon lightly with an angle brush . Then shape it with a coat of Clear mascara
  • For Blush : I use Benetint as a base . Blend well using my finger . It gives your cheek a natural blush with a matte finish
  • I layer with Dior Blush Passion Fruit 533 on top to give my face a glowy look
  • For Lip :  I want something different (or more extreme :D) so I tried MAC lipstick Violetta . I dont usually line my lip so I skipped that part . If you want, you can line your lip with MAC lip liner Magenta. (in person, it looks deeper , not as bright & more violet, less pinkish)
  • Since the color is so strong , I dont want to use too much lipgloss to make it stand out even more. So I only use a bit of MAC Lipgelee on top
Thats a break-down of my whole look . I dont think I would wear this to go out any day but its fun to play with makeup rite?

CHANEL TEMPORARY TATTOOS hit shelves IN MARCH

From surfboards....to boomerangs....to scooters....then fishing rod cases and now TEMPORARY TATTOOS. I bet millions of CHANEL fan are waiting for this product to come out. They go in a set which cost $75 for 55 different designs of flowers, birds, bling-y chains, cuffs and of course the infamous double-Cs on five sheets. That's dirt cheap for CHANEL, but outrageously expensive for some temporary ink. Just think about it, when can you ever be able to cover your skin in CHANEL ? Its SKIN ART !

You can find these @ Selfridges this March

Smudging eyeliner ...how to fix it ?

Being Asian, a lot of us have trouble with liner smudged or disappeared after having it on for a few hours.
So what should we do to avoid that ?

Lets follow these 2 steps , hopefully it can help you to achieve a better long lasting look :

Step 1 :  Before applying eyeliner, its better to use an eye primer like cream concealer or cream eyeshadow
    • Using cream concealer : Apply all over your lids with a matching skin-tone color. Blend well & set it with loose powder for longer lasting
    • Using cream eyeshadow : The best I've tried so far is MAC paints or paint pots . Apply a neutral color ( e.g.: Bare canvas paint or Bare study paint pot ) with the same manner. Blend well.
Step 2 :  Use a waterproof pencil liner, gel eyeliner or liquid liner .

For us, pencil liner isnt an ideal solution. Its only great when you actually want to smudge it with eyeshadow to create smokey eyed look. But if you cant use liquid liner or you think its too harsh-looking for you, you can try waterproof pencil liner . Then use an angle brush (i.e.: MAC 263 or 266) dipped in black eyeshadow to set the line. It'll last longer than usual.

You can also try cake liner or gel eyeliner (e.g.: Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner ). Using a pointy eyeliner brush or an angle brush to dip into the gel liner ( coat both sides of the brushes ). Wipe off the excess on tissue before applying to eyes.

For me, I prefer to use liquid liner, especially MAC liquidlast . I can wear it all day long and  not even worried for a second that it will smear or disappear. If you're scared to look too harsh, just line it closely to your lashline and keep it thin.

Small tip : To remove this, you really have to use Waterproof eyemakeup remover ( the one with oil and water mixed)
