Haute Couture : Elie Saab Spring 2010

Elie Saab doesn't disappoint anyone by continuing what he does best, making incredible evening wear for women. This year, his collection is full of pale, mauve, beige, washed-out color with a romantic touch like petal-embroidered over-piece or flora-appliqued dresses . Hair was braided in the front which was put in half updos goes extremely well with the natural makeup. The show looks like a fairy tale

Haute Couture : Chanel Spring 2010

For the first time, we dont see the usual BLACK OR NAVY color at Chanel haute couture show. The whole collection is full of silver and pastel suits and dresses. The hairstyle is very cartoonish which was crafted in a heart shape beautifully. Karl was so smart to even put silver streak into model's hair to coordinate with their outfits. Light silver eye makeup & bright coral lips compliment the whole look. Just one word to describe the show: GORGEOUS !

Red Carpet : MET Costume Institute Gala 2010

Long flowy gowns made their way down the red carpet . The simplicity of these gowns still make a big impact just as much as a fluffy ballgown . Jessica Alba in Sophie Theallet for Gap, Diane Kruger in simple white Calvin Klein , Jessica Stam in purple Rachel Roy, Jessica Biel in cream Ralph Lauren, Naomi Watts in fushia Stella McCartney, Nicole Riche in silver Marc Jacob, Kate Bosworth in Valentino & Alessandra Amboisio in Versace

Also spotted in big gown are J.Lo wearing Zuhair Murad,  Anne Hathaway in gold Valentino, Jessica Szohr in nude & black Versace , Mila Kunis in Vera Wang

Short cocktail dresses are also favored by young celebs like Blake Lively in Marchesa, Emilie de Ravin in Valentino, Liu Wen & Constance Jablonski in Jason Wu, Chloe Sevigny in Proenza Schouler

I'm always looking forward to see who wears what to the red carpet events. It's cool to pick and choose what we love or dont love. Either it's a good or bad choice, they all look fantastic IMO. Cant wait to see the next red carpet event

Summer look - EOTD

Summer means its time to bring out more colors to your look. Today i created a summery look with most pastel colors like pink, yellow, green and blue. Somehow, I cant take a picture of how it truely looks. In person, the colors look more intense, not as light as how it's showing here

Firstly, I use MAC cream color base Luna. Then using a Medium Eyeshadow Brush to blend MAC e.s Passionate over eye lids and up to brow bones. Apply Sephora Lime Green 42 from the inner corner to the outer corner of the eyes, blending over the lid into the crease using a blending brush . Apply MAC e.s Freshwater to lower lash lines, concentrating the color on the outer corner and fading it inward using a smaller smudge brush. Brighten the inner corner of the eyes with a lighter yellow eyeshadow using Paul & Joe eyeshadow (already discontinued) using a small shader brush. Line lash lines with MAC eyekohl Smolder on top and bottom lashes. Prime your lashes with Lancome CILS BOOSTER XL Super-Enhancing Mascara Base, then put ur favorite mascara on top (Benefit Bad Gal mascara )

The EYEBROWS

Eyebrows always stand in the background & let the makeup speak for itself but the designers are bringing them forward. An untamed or overdone eyebrow can ruin the whole look if we do it wrong. For the first time, eyebrows step out to play the main part in a makeup look on the Fall 2010 runway . From feather brushed details, colored brows to uni-brows, beauty trend for fall is a strong brow

Burberry Makeup

The British brand is launching a cosmetic line this July. This is the brand's first foray into cosmetic beside the fragrances they've been doing. Christopher Bailey , Burberry's chief creative director, told WWD :
           
          "It started because I felt that, at shows and the shoots, the whole [Burberry] attitude is epitomized through the shoes, the bags, the clothes, the accessories, but then the face was the one thing I really struggled with. When we were doing makeup, I felt like we weren't able to get the right attitude. It was either caked-on makeup or then just the wrong colors, the wrong tones, the wrong spirit for makeup. I wanted it to be this kind of effortless elegance."

The makeup line continues the signature trench - khaki plaid pattern into the packaging. It'll be different from any other cosmetic brands which scream glamour or in style. Bailey wants to make women feel effortlessly beautiful . That's why he created this line to fit their everyday use. The line will include everything from foundation to lip definer to makeup brushes. Cant wait to see the real products coming out in stores.
