"The City" fashion

Since the show is shot in the Big Apple so Fashion plays a big part in it. Both main girls Whitney Port and Olivia Palermo have different styles that portrait them as NY girls.

I myself prefer Olivia's style. She always pulls everything together so well . Her knowledge about accessories is incredible since accessories can make or break an outfit . Shes is a New York socialite, a 'social' like she calls herself. She's like a real Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl who lives the life every girl dreams of. Her hair and make-up are perfection, her clothes to die for and she's always impeccable accessorized...

Here are her daily wears, Black and White are prob her favorite colors. She knows how to style them with the perfect bags to make her stand out

She also looks incredible in neon or neutral colors . She never forget to accessorize her look with her shoes, necklace or purses

Whitney Port, on the other hand, is a down-to-earth girl so her style is more simple & definitely got an eye for design. She made her first debut at the New York fashion week featuring her Whitney Eve line. Her line is sophisticated, girly and chic. She said her collection features everything she would wear so it showcases her style quite literally

Her style consists of different blazers & short dresses. They shows off her best asset well - her legs. But shes not always perfect or well put-together like Olivia, sometimes her style is very questionable. She does make weird choices for her daily wears which can be very boring / uninspired

MAC Haute & Naughty Lash

This two-in-one mascara is an innovative way to customize your lashes. Select and shimmy brush from root to tip for desired effect - naturally defined, or full-on dramatic! State-of-the-art conditioning and hydrating formula prevents parching and flake-outs.

A two-in-one mascara that lets you choose if you want lashes to be naturally defined, or instantly combed and loaded for full-on drama. Easy to use dual-wiper system allows this lightweight formula to go on either way. One wiper refines the application for a clean sweep, while the other loads the lashes for greater impact.

It sounds great rite? Normally, I havent had a good experience with MAC mascara since they make my lashes hard and clumped. Maybe this time, I'll try to see if this one is different from others. The package is very cool too when you pull out the top part, you have the big brush & when you pull the second part, its the small brush which you can use on your lower lashes as well.

The price for this mascara is $18 . A bit more than the others but you get 2 in 1 so its already a good deal

Liese Hair Products

I've heard so much about Liese products recently. They are HOT new products from one of the top brands in Japan - KAO. Since I was going to Singapore, I thought I would grab a few products from their line to try on myself. Firstly, I got the Liese Bubble Hair color in Ash brown,  Juicy shower & Wave-up Mousse 02 Elegant Wave

The Hair Bubble is such a great DIY product @ home.
Step 1 :  You just follow the instruction inside the box . Try to massage your hair as much as possible to keep the foam. Its not messy like any other products I've used before. It's great how it didn't drip and it was easy to apply. Even if I thought the foam was gonna start dripping while I waited, it didn't happen. The whole concept of the bubbles is so the product reaches the root of your hair. But the ammonia / smell is kinda strong, that's the negative thing about this product. Also remember to use the hair lotion package that comes with the box
But IMO, I was kinda disappointed that the color didn't come out like I expected. It evened out my hair color but kinda too dark when I thought it would be lighter. But at least my scalp was still clean and had no sign of home-dyed job :P

After a few days, u probably will get a better result with more colors & still shiny after shampoo

Step 2 : I use the Juicy shower to spray all over my hair after towel dry it. It has a nice scent & refreshing. It keeps my hair smooth & frizzy-free . Also the scent didn't stay on for long

Step 3 : You can use the Mousse on your hair while its still a bit damp so you can start styling it the way you want. Either your hair is permed or you can curl it with curling iron. I like the fact that my curls are still bouncy and soft for a whole day without feeling like I use lots of stuffs on my hair.
So give it a try and see if you like their products. The Bubble Hair Color costs S$19.90 , Juicy Shower : S$3.50 ( for the small size I got ), Wave-up Mousse : S$12.90 . You can get them at any Guardian (its like Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada) , Watson, Sasa, or even online i think

Zara June 2010 Lookbook

(Photos courtesy of Zara)

Zara is always one of my fav stores of all time. So i'm always excited to see what's coming to the store every month. This month, Zara concentrates on muted colors : cream/ivory, tan, brown, black and denim. Personally, I don't like this look book as much as others, but a few items i'd like to own : lace shorts, tan dress &  prints skirt
